8th Grade Concert and Sightreading Evaluation
Friday, March 31st
Chapel Hill High School
Come to school fully dressed for performance. Black/black.
All students will report to first period as usual. An announcement will be made when it is time to come to the band hall
Sit in your chair with your instrument (in the case) under or beside your chair.
9:15- Depart for Chapel Hill High School
11:05-11:30- Warmup
11:35- Stage
12:00- Sightreading
2:00- Estimated arrival at Van JH
Lunch will be provided after we have returned to our bus and taken a photo.
We will be back at school before the end of the school day.
Concert attire will consist of-
Boys- Black dress shirt, black dress pants, black dress shoes.
Girls- Same as boys -or- black dress (dress code applies)/ black flats.
Please try to source these as soon as possible if you do not already have them. UIL Concert/Sightreading evaluation is a formal event and students who do not have suitable attire may not be allowed to travel and perform.
Both the stage performance and sightreading portion of this evaluation are free and open to the public. Feel free to come out and support our program if you are able.
